Les Lavandes is a house which in parts dates back to the 12th Century. Set on the side of a valley overlooking the River Charente with far reaching views across beautiful rural Vienne, Les Villannières is a small peaceful hamlet close to the village of Chatain with the town of Charroux only 9km away boasting several shops, boulangerie, bank and restaurants/cafes.
Les Lavandes provides spacious accommodation with generous sized bedrooms. The television has access to the main UK channels, a dvd player and PlayStation.
The house has oil fired central heating and a wood burning fire for the cooler months. There is a large enclosed terraced garden with stunning views, ideal for relaxing and eating in the abundant Charente sunshine, and a garden toy box for children.
Poitou-Charente covers the four French departments – Vienne, Charente, Charente-Maritime and Deux-Sevres and is said to be one of the most sunlit regions of the Atlantic West. The winters are short and mild, spring and autumn are warm and sunny and summers are hot but not humid.
