Defi’Planet is a 25 ha leisure park - which aims to teach us about sustainable development whilst having fun. The concept is quite unique, as this 'edutainment’ fun tour aims at increasing children’s and adults’ awareness, conveying essential values, as well as showing the life of 5 ancient villages who used to live in harmony with Nature. Activities here also include riding, archery, and a high ropes course.

La Vallee des Signes
Monkey Valley in Romagne is a lovely day out for the whole family, where you can get much closer to the monkeys than is usual as the animals are not caged except by water.

Le Cormenier
Discover the history of this rural family from the birth of Pierre at the beginning of the 20th century to the First World War. As an actor in the scenes, you will be transported to the early 1900's thanks to exciting special effects that will reveal all the secrets of the past! The visit features 16 scenes enhanced with realistic sets, dialogue and lots of sound and visual effects.


Le Parc de La Belle  
Set in 10 hectares of beautiful valleys on the banks of the river Belle this varied and blooming park offers a wealth of flowers, shrubs, plants in any season. The park has a large play area and a little petting farm for children. There is also a maze made of living bushes. New for 2017: now there are even more fun things to do with the Adventure Game, an exciting trail packed with mysteries to solve and secret rooms along the way!

At nearby Civray there is a recently completed public indoor and outdoor swimming pool, only 17 km from the house. The town also boasts the Romanesque church of St-Nicolas from the 12th Century with a sculptured façade and painted frescos. Local markets are Tuesdays and Fridays.

Renowned as the town of the written word and books with many charming cafes and restaurants in the town centre.

Boasting five chateaux dominating the Vienne River, and the setting of the Giants of the Sky, a flying bird show with birds from all over the world skimming over you at break neck speed. Also the Velo-rail, a return rail/bike ride on an abandoned railway track.

La Rochefoucault  
The Rochefoucault family can trace their ancestry back into the Scottish royal family and have been prominent in French history since the 16th Century. Visit the magnificent chateaux.

Famous for its international music and dance festival held every year during August (check Tourist Information site for details).
